Percussion to Health: Common Performance Mechanisms Underlying Rationale for Music Based Motor Rehabilitation

Thaut and Huang demonstrate how researchers collaborate in an unfolding interdisciplinary research project. Drawing on current research in neurologic music therapy and music performance, they will unpack the potential of using expert and advanced musicians to further our understanding on how to use percussion to retrain motor control in brain injury and special development needs through successful music basedtherapies.
